First Date - 03. Interruption

“I may be harder to “Acquire” than you seem to think” Alchemica said confidently as her hands lit up with the glow of her magic.

“Glacies Ri...uungh!”(*) Her spell was interrupted as something hard smashed into the back of her head. Pain exploded in her skull and her will fragmented. Groaning she dropped to her knees stunned. Only her outstretched hands prevented her from falling flat on her face. She knelt there, pain pounding behind her eyes, fighting off the wave of darkness threatening to carry her into oblivion.

“Not really” her unseen attacker giggled.

“Who..?” Alchemica thought sluggishly.

“Oh, I do beg your pardon” Books said sweetly. “Did I neglect to mention we are triplets, I am so sorry. How rude of me. Alchemica, this is my older sister Dimples, the last of our little Pak” Books laughed.

Walking closer, Books stopped right in front of the dazed sorceress and looked down, her smile turning cold. Kneeling she looked Alchemica in the face, watching her fight to struggle her senses.

“Overconfidence and arrogance are rarely a good combination sorceress. I do so look forward to the many little chats we are going to have”, Books turned to her sisters.

“Dimples, Sugar..you know what to do”
