...Not for a Sith

The small mercenary ship rocked gently as the Republic patrol vessel locked on with it's docking clamps. Captain Nevarr shut down his engines with a heavy sigh. It seemed his passengers were hotter than he had suspected. They were hiding something from him, he had felt it the moment he had lain eyes on the three heavily robed and hooded women. The money they had offered him had overridden his natural caution. Now he was facing time in a Republic prison. He turned in his chair as the door to the bridge hissed open.

"Captain, why have the engines stopped?" Lady Sevara's voice was calm, no hint of any fear at all. Her yellow eyes regarded him curiously from the depths of the black hooded robe that concealed almost everything about her.

"It is the Republic, they ordered us to heave to. If I didn't do as instructed, they would have destroyed us before we made the jump to Hyperspace."

"Jam all their communications Captain. Insure not a single signal escapes that ship, and have my sisters meet me in the airlock. I shall greet our pursuers personally."

"Are you mad, that ship will have a hundred, maybe more, trained Republic troops. We can't fight those numbers. We would have no chance, your plan, its suicide. I..." Captain Nevarr's voice trailed off as the Lady Sevara shrugged out of her concealing robes. But it wasn't her suddenly revealed beauty that made the seasoned mercenary stammer into silence. It was the golden hilt that hung from her belt, and the implications of it's presence.

Sevara turned, her lips curling in an expression that was half smile, half sneer.

"Suicide Captain? Not for a Sith."
