The "Shark" was swiftly and painfully brought back to reality. Cerise Sentinel avoided a wild swing of the blade, her arm flashed out grabbing Jacob's arm. The heroine squeezed hard, pain shot through Jacob's arm followed by a growing numbness. His hand lost all strength, the knife tumbled from his suddenly nerveless grip.

"Agghh"

"You really shouldn't play with knives pal, you might get...hurt!" Cerise Sentinel advised as she punched Jacob in the gut, then caught him flush on the jaw as he bent over. Jacob's head snapped back, he tottered for a moment then fell backward, his eyes still open but his face blank as the heroine's second blow knocked him senseless.

Danny Garrow had not been idle. While Jacob distracted the Sentinel he prized a tile loose, extracted the prize he had been searching for. Outwardly it looked mundane, but Danny knew that the plastic sports bottle held power, real power.

He stepped out from his hiding place as Cerise Sentinel was in the process of taking Jacob down. Eagerly he brought the bottle to his lips and drank, ignoring the harsh coppery taste of the liquid as he swallowed. Immediately he felt the change begin, raw power roared through his veins. Danny screamed in pain and exultation as his body swelled with the blessing of his master's gift. His frame twisted, bones cracking and reforming as new layers of heavy muscle grew rapidly over them.

Danny turned to face the Cerise Sentinel and smiled coldly, "Hello bitch, this is your wake up call!"
